    Need help on upgrade options!!!!

I had a jb4 for years and it definitely gets the job done. There's a new tuner option though that people are excited about since it's a full ecu tune that can be done remotely using a handheld unit. So, easy to change maps and flash back to stock when going in for service. If you're still...

2019 Kia Stinger GTS JB4 Install

Man that is awful, sorry to see that. There are a lot of safety measures built into the jb4 so I can't imagine one causing catastrophic engine damage. Maybe try a different service dept and see if they'll dig deeper to see if it was an engine flaw that caused it?

    Gasoline Grade

In my experience it doesn't seem to make much difference either way. When gas spiked I went down to 87 for the first time in years because I mentally couldn't make myself pay that much for premium. I honestly couldn't tell a difference, it idled about the same and overall mileage was about the...

What is a good replacement for brakes/rotors that fit on Brembo calipers?

There are a lot of good options out there for every budget. Personally I'm cheap so I went with drilled/slotted front rotors and pads from R1 Concepts. I only spent like 250 bucks total I believe but it made a HUGE difference. Khartunez is good and easy to work with, as is one of the newer...

    Pothole 1 - Stinger 0

I definitely feel your pain, same thing happened to me last summer. The sound it makes when you hit a pothole big enough to blow a tire is sickening. The only bright side in my case was it happened near a tire shop, and they mounted the spare for me for free. I did NOT want to have to do it in...

    JB4 for 2022 Stinger Gt-line 2.5L & Stock Draggy Results 0 - 60, 5 - 60 roll

I love that 5-60 mph test since it removes launching from the equation. My best before I went back to stock was 4.1, easily on par with some of the German heavyhitters 💪. As for your limpmode, sounds like it's triggering safety for some reason. Are you registered on the jb4 board? Any logs you...

    JB4 for 2022 Stinger Gt-line 2.5L & Stock Draggy Results 0 - 60, 5 - 60 roll

Nice, that should be a little rocket, easily as quick as a stock GT, without the mpg penalty.

    JB4 for 2022 Stinger Gt-line 2.5L & Stock Draggy Results 0 - 60, 5 - 60 roll

That stinks. They must be on to us and built in a way to override e-brake launches. 😂

    JB4 for 2022 Stinger Gt-line 2.5L & Stock Draggy Results 0 - 60, 5 - 60 roll

Respectable numbers for the 4 banger. 👍 I bet you could take some time off those numbers with an ebrake launch (holding the car in place to build more boost than launch control allows). That (or a jb4) should get you in the low 5s easily.

Fuel-It - Kia Stinger Charge Pipe Injection (CPI) Kit

Interestingly enough, the fastest stinger and fastest g70 on the dragy leaderboard both run CPI, along with other mods and stacked with an ECU tune. Clearly it works as well as meth, especially when combined with other mods. It's an intriguing option for those who don't want to mess with meth...

    My Stinger at the Dyno

Imagine being desperate enough to dig through the OP's old messages to prove he's right, and still being wrong. 😂

    My Stinger at the Dyno

You could maybe tone it down a notch, being this combative is not necessary or constructive. If you paid attention to the post date you would see this thread was started right after the Stinger came out; at the time there were no tunes, piggybacks or anything really, other than exhaust, which...

What’s the most you can performance mod without tuning?

That, plus I'm RWD too. I've gone through 4 sets of rear tires in less than 50k miles. 🥺 If you're going to consider throttle controllers, check out the Windbooster. They all work basically the same but that one is almost always on sale.

What’s the most you can performance mod without tuning?

Speed and power would be the only reason to go with a tune or piggyback. You'll get a little extra oomph with mods alone but a tune or piggyback will work with them and really raise the bar. I added intakes, dp's and catback first, and according to my dragy, I went from 13.3 in the 1/4 to 12.7...

New to doing E30 mixture with 93

It looks like you're getting a fuel trim variance safety trigger again. From what I can see in two logs, fuel trims (and afr) in bank 2 are not changing at any rpm. On one log, it's the opposite, fuel trim and afr changed in bank 2 but not bank 1. You might want to check your fuel wires and...

You can email him directly or even start a thread on n54, linked above, that way others with knowledge can chime in. His email is Terry@burgertuning.

New to doing E30 mixture with 93

OK your logs are concerning. The first one shows you had both timing corrections and fuel trim variance, the latter caused the jb4 to put you back on map 0 for safety reasons. I don't want to tell you the wrong thing so I would definitely suggest reaching out to Terry for expert guidance. You...

New to doing E30 mixture with 93

One thing I noticed on your log is that it looks like you didn't do one long full throttle pull. Terry always recommends doing it that way, if you have a place that's safe to do so. What I mentioned above about throttle closure wouldn't apply in your case, since you didn't stay in it long enough...

Lap 3 vs Tork Motorsports ECU tune

E85; this is different than WMI. Right now the stock fuel pump can't really handle high amounts of E85. CPI allows you to safely run a higher percentage of it, which gives you more power. CPI is good for those who don't want to deal with meth and have access to high quality E85.

New to doing E30 mixture with 93

Welcome. I assume you're using a JB4? If so, you don't need a dyno tune to run E30, the JB4 will handle it all, including safety measures in case something goes wrong. If you're getting a throttle cut at or near redline, that's normal on higher maps; the workaround is to manually upshift at or...
