For my base model Stinger I am considering 18 X 8.5 aftermarket wheels (0.5 inches wider than 8.0" OEM) with an offset of 35 mm (5 mm less than 40 mm OEM). Will these wheels (with P225/45R18 OEM tires) fit OK?

I've just checked out some wheels on Tirerack and the size will work.

Tire Rack, was my source as well. Still looking for an opinion from a 'neutral' party!

No decision yet, but I do not like highly "spoked" look in wheels.

Thanks for the recommendation, but I have already ordered different wheels. I will try to post photos after they are installed.

In that regard, I may need a set of 5 mm wheel spacers. Does anyone know of a good source for Kia specification wheel spacers?

wheel will stick out about .5 inches, you will need to stretch the tire. [nono]

Take a look at Vorsteiner
Vorsteiner wheels are so amazing, just so expensive. But you do get amazing quality. I would love to buy them but I live in NYC and I do not want to have to babysit my car. Talking about losing over 3 grand if they are stolen or damaged by my own doing. LOL

I am extremely interested in upping my base model wheels to 20 inches. I have my eye pretty much set on one style I really like. Only issue is, they are 20 X 9.5 5-114.30 Bolt Pattern 40 Offset.

I'm pretty sure that would create a really great look as I have seen that 20X9.5 setup on many Optima's around my way.

Another thing is, I happen to be interested in 245/45/R20 tire size.

If anyone can provide information on whether or not this setup will fit without any issues I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Ok so,

The 20x9.5 rear fitment shouldn't be an issue(given the wheel design clears the calipers). the front is a little tricky, as the +40 will sit farther in (approx 14mm more) than wheels we usually run in a 20x9. the rear should sit nearly flush with the fender and the front will be "sunken" in.

Also, that 245/45-20 is too tall. i'd suggest a 245/35-20. it's within the 3% Overall Diameter difference.

First off thank you so much for your input I really appreciate it. Now you have me wanting to ask more questions if you don't mind.

My options for the specific wheels I want are

For 8.5

1) - 20 X 8.5 5-114.30 30 offset

2) - 20 X 8.5 5-114.30 45 offset

For 9.5

1) - 20 X 9.5 5-114.30 25 offset

2) - 20 X 9.5 5-114.30 40 offset

not a problem, we're here to help. are you thinking about running the 20x8.5 or 20x9.5 all around or a staggered setup w/ 8.5 front and 9.5 rear? i ask because the fitment changes when we run a staggered setup.

I would rather just run the most convenient setup all around. So if 20x9.5 is too much of a hassle for the front then I'll be perfectly fine with the 20x8.5 all around.

My recommendation? Stick with the 20x8.5 +30et. the 20x9.5 COULD fly, im sure you'd have to run a 245/30-20 and stretch it to clear the inside. at that point you'll sacrifice some ride quality at the expense of a cool looking setup so...

I appreciate that. I will definitely stick to the 8.5 +30.... Now quick question if I got a 255/35-20 set of tires would that be fine? I'm hoping to get at least a little tire protection in terms of the rim when parking etc. Not that I plan to be careless anytime* soon. Lol would that size be helpful? Would it even be fine with that wheel set-up?

Thanks again man.
